Right checked the barrel of cider and it seems to have stuck no pressure no activity at all!
so racked it off into a FV and put 5 ct in added the 4 litres of cider that was working and the gallon of cider I had ct ed yesterday will leave over night and pitch a cider yeast tomorrow if that fails the lot will go down the drain I think and will try again in DJs

as I had bottled some of the Dark Real Ale couldn't resist taking a bottle to a family get together today to try it
Nice pop when opened plenty of life very clear but a little lacking in taste and sedement soon mixed up as poured a little in to several glasses instead of one steady pour into a pint glass
definately needs the 2 weeks recomended before drinking
Good news the Admirals reserve is now blooping away nicely

moved real ale to garage to clear
strained cider and added sugar and lemon
then made up another kit
Woodforde Admirals reserve
again easy job didn't even have to add sugar to this one
Then cooked up a batch of Fiery Ginger Beer
1kg of fresh ginger
5tsp dried ginger
1tsp cream of tartar
2 lemon
2 lime
3.5 ltr boiling water
all in a pot and simmer for 30 minutes
then into a fermenting bin and top up with cold water to 5 gallons
add yeast nutrient and pitch yeast I used a champayne yeast
ps Must wait till liquid is between 20 and 25 degrees C or yeast will die
hydrometer reading of 1049
